CAMBRIDGE - Veteran's Day, Sunday,(Monday is the designated the federal holiday) is a great time thank our vets. They have kept us safe and defended our nation's freedoms in times of war. After their tours of duty and service commitments are complete, many veterans wish to continue being active in the community they live in.

LRNRD Releases Pumping Numbers for '12, Projections for '13
Mike Clements, General Manager for LRNRD, said just this week his District received estimated pumping numbers for 2012 and estimates were tabulated by the Department of Natural Resources and were derived using power records not meter readings.
This past year has been filled with many important policy debates, legislative accomplishments, and exciting new developments for Nebraska. I want to highlight some of these events and reflect upon the year. By far the most pressing issue facing our nation is the economy. We must continue to find ways to help businesses grow so they can create jobs. We also cannot address economic challenges without addressing the nations runaway debt.

2012 Accomplishments
USDA's Accomplishments in 2012 over the course 2012, farm families and rural communities faced a number of challenges. A record drought impacted much of the country and many were impacted by a major hurricane, flooding and sever storms. However, thanks to the resilience of rural Americans, our communities are still going strong.
School Foundation awards Maxine Bennet Scholarships
CAMBRIDGE - The Cambridge School Foundation would like to announce the recipients of the 2013 $500 Maxine Bennett Post Graduate scholarships, Karinne Kulwicke and Lindsey Eubanks. Maxine was a native of Cambridge who became a pioneer in the medical field. She was extremely generous in her gifts to our community when she passed on. The Cambridge School Foundation has established a scholarship in her name for students who have graduated from Cambridge High School, have two years of post graduate credit hours and who intend to enter the medical field. Karinne is furthering her education to become a Physician's Assistant, and Lindsey is entering into the Dentistry field. We would like to congratulate these girls on their efforts.
